Portal 03.26.2024 Release Notes

Overview

Our release notes offer brief descriptions of product enhancements and bug fixes. We include links to the current articles for any affected features. Those articles will be updated shortly after the Portal release to include new functionality.

Highlighted Features

Added the Ability to Use Search Keywords and Quotes when Filtering by Name or Title (SB-3524)

We added the ability to use AND, OR, NOT, single quote ('), and double quote (") as search parameter keywords in all name and title filters.



The following examples demonstrate what you can expect as search results:
  1. Return results where Test 1234 is consecutive in the name or title:
    1. Test 1234,
    2. "Test 1234"
    3. 'Test 1234' 
  2. Return results that contain both Test and 1234 in the name or title:
    1. "Test" "1234"
    2. 'Test' '1234'
    3. Test AND 1234
    4. "Test" AND "1234"
    5. 'Test' AND '1234' 
  3. Return results that contain either Test or 1234 in the name or title:
    1. Test OR 1234
    2. "Test" OR "1234"
    3. 'Test' OR '1234'
  4. Return results that contain Test but do not contain 1234  in the name or title:
    1. Test NOT 1234
    2. "Test" NOT "1234"
    3. 'Test' NOT '1234'

Added New E-Mail Template Keyword to Support Listing Work Orders Separately when Multiple Work Orders Are Assigned (SB-3550)

Instead of sending a separate e-mail for each assigned Work Order, we added a new method to list out multiple Work Order Names in Work Order E-Mail Templates when more than one Work Order is assigned or re-assigned to a user in the Admin > Work Orders section.
The default systemwide Work Order Assigned and Work Order Re-Assigned E-Mail Templates have been updated to use this new method.

Product Enhancements

Updated the Delete Draft Options in the Saved Drafts Section of the Web App (SB-3565)

We added a button to Delete Selected Drafts that can be used to delete the selected (checked) Drafts only. A notification message was also added if a user tries to use the button without selecting any Drafts.
The original Delete All Drafts button now actually deletes all Drafts based on the currently selected filters instead of the previous behavior which deleted only selected Drafts.

Added the Option to Display and Filter by User Key in the Users Section (SB-3574)

Mobile Forms Administrators can now display User Keys in the table data by checking the Display User Keys in Table setting (unchecked by default) in the Admin > Users section. A User Key filter will be available when the setting is enabled.


Added Creation Date and Last Modified Date Columns and Updated the Default Sort Order in the Shared Forms Section (SB-3586)

In order to make it easier for Mobile Forms Administrators to find a specific Shared Form link, we added Creation Date and Last Modified Date columns to the Shared Forms table in the Admin > Shared Forms section and the table is now sorted by most recent Last Modified Date by default. We also added filters for Creation Date and Last Modified Date.

Bug Fixes

Prevented Exceptions when Opening a Form in Workflow if the Workflow Definition Contains Group Assignments but the Company has No Groups (SB-3554)

In order to prevent users from being unable to open specific forms in the Workflow section, we updated the Workflow Form Viewer to load forms when the Group Assignment option is included in a Custom Workflow Definition but no Groups have been created for the company.

Fixed Filters Being Reset after Actions are Taken in the Work Orders Section (SB-3563)

Filters are no longer being reset after an action is taken (i.e. delete, re-assign, etc.) in the Admin > Work Orders section.

Fixed Region Filter Data No Longer Being Displayed after a Region Filter is Deleted (SB-3571)

We fixed an issue where existing Region Filter data was no longer being displayed in the following sections if other Region Filters for a Form Template were deleted in the Admin > Region Filters section.
  1. Admin > Work Orders
  2. Sent Forms, Workflow > Admin
  3. Workflow > My Queue
  4. Workflow > My History 

Fixed Text Wrapping Not Working in Text-Based Regions in Web App and Workflow (SB-3591)

Web App Users and Workflow Approvers can now see the wrapped full text if a value is longer than one line in text-based Regions.
