Portal 12.17.2024 Release Notes

Overview

Our release notes offer brief descriptions of product enhancements and bug fixes. We include links to the current articles for any affected features. Those articles will be updated shortly after the Portal release to include new functionality.

Product Enhancements

Add the Ability to Set Sent Form E-Mail Templates at the Folder Level in the Portal (SB-3741)

Added the ability to setup Folder Specific E-Mail Templates when creating or editing E-Mail Templates in the Admin > E-Mail Templates section of the Portal. The order of priority for E-Mail Templates is if there's a Form specific, use that one first. If there's no Form specific but there's a Folder specific one, use that second. If neither of those exist, then use the Companywide default if it's defined, and finally use the System default if there's no Companywide default.

Add Warning when Users Leave without Saving Changes when Reviewing Forms in Workflow (SB-3846)

Added a pop-up warning if a User navigates away from the Form Viewer when there are unsaved changes in the Workflow > My Queue section or the Workflow > Admin section.

Add the Ability to Delete Sent Forms from the Sent Forms Section of the Web App (SB-3849)

Added the ability for Users to delete Sent Forms from the Sent Form tab in the Web App to match the Mobile Forms Apps behavior. Deleting the Sent Forms in this manner does not delete them from the server; the deleted Sent Forms are just no longer possible for that User to view.

Add New System Setting to Disable Work Order Address Fields in the Company Profile Section of the Portal (SB-3856)

Added a new System Setting called "Disable Address Fields for Work Orders" to the System Settings tab in the Admin > Company Profile section in the Portal which will remove the Address fields for Work Orders to be accessible when creating and editing Work Orders in the Portal.

Add Prompt to Associate Users to Folders when Assigning Work Orders for Users without Folder Access Currently in the Portal (SB-3858)

Updated the Create and Edit Work Order processes in the Portal to display a pop-up warning  and grant Folder access if a Mobile Forms Administrator tries to assign a Work Order to a User that does not have Folder access for the selected Form Template.

Add Prompt to Associate Mobile Form Administrators to Folders when Moving Form Templates and the Admins Do Not Currently Have Folder Access in the Portal (SB-3859)

Updated the Change Folder actions in the Admin > Form Templates section of the Portal to display a pop-up warning and grant Folder access if a Mobile Forms Administrator tries to assign a Form Template to a Folder when they currently do not have access.

Bug Fixes

Investigate Mail Server Being Unable to Process Non-ASCII Characters in Workflow (SB-3838)

Investigation completed. Our system is currently setup to allow using an alternate mail server (SendGrid) that will allow non-ASCII characters to be used in e-mail addresses for Recipients but it will only affect Sent Forms and e-mails generated in Workflow using the EmailRFI Step.

Investigate and Fix the Display of the Pen Region when Zoomed in Using a Shared Form (SB-3851)

Updated the Full Screen Pen Region pop-up window to no longer dynamically change as the User zooms in and out on mobile browsers when filling out Shared Forms.

Fix the White Spaces Being Removed when Mapping Regions in the New Work Order Name Pop-Up Window in the Portal (SB-3868)

Fixed the Work Order Name field to not erase white space in the Work Order Name during mapping using the Region Values pop-up window when creating or editing Work Orders in the Admin > Work Orders section of the Portal.

Investigate and Fix Table Data Not Loading for Some Customers in the Sent Forms Section of the Portal (SB-3876)

Fixed an issue with a missing view required for loading the table data in the Sent Form of the Portal for a subset of Customers. Hotfix deployed on 12/18/2024.
