Our release notes offer brief descriptions of the bug fixes included in the 7.5 release of our Mobile Forms App for Android.

Bug Fixes

Investigate and Fix Crashes Occurring when Opening the Android 7.5.1 App with the Android 14 OS (SB-3733)

Fixed an issue with crashes that were occurring in the Android 7.5.1 App when running on a Device that was using the Android 14 OS.

Released in the 7.5.1.0 Build - Available on 9/5/2024

Product Enhancements

Update the Android App to Target Android 14 (API level 34) (SB-3719)

Updated the Android App to target Android 14 (API level 34) per Google Play Store requirements. Minimum version remains Android 8.1.

Update the UI for the New Mobile Payment Processing Screen in the Android App (SB-3686)

Made numerous changes to the layout, color, and text formatting to the Payment Processing Screen's UI in the Android App to more closely match the Web App's appearance.

Bug Fixes

Fix the Text in the E-Mail Not Found Pop-Up Window during the E-Mail Lookup Process in the Android App (SB-3648)

Fixed a typo and added some better spacing to the E-Mail Not Found pop-up window that appears when you attempt to lookup an E-Mail Address and it is not found in the system in the Android App.

Investigate and Fix Recent Sent Forms Not Replicating after Activation in the Android App (SB-3659)

Updated the sync'ing process to include recently Sent Forms from other Devices also assigned to the current User in the Android App to match the behavior that occurs in the iOS App.

Investigate and Fix Crashes Occurring when Opening a Saved Draft for an Edited Work Order in the Android App (SB-3669)

Fixed the crashes that occur if the User opens a Work Order that's been saved as a Draft and the same Work Order is then edited in the Portal or through the REST API and then a new Work Order version is downloaded to the Device in the Android App.

Investigate and Fix the Tabbing Sequence when using the Keyboard in the Payment Processor UI in the Android App (SB-3670)

Fixed an issue with the tabbing order when using the "Next" button on the virtual keyboard when filling out fields in the Payment Processing UI in the Android App.

Investigate and Fix Sending Forms Not Occurring Immediately after Re-Connecting to the Internet in the Android App (SB-3671)

Fixed an issue with Sent Forms not being immediately uploaded after regaining an Internet connection in the Android App where previously it was waiting for the next sync re-try period to be initiated.

Added preventative measures to stop some crashes occurring when viewing the Drafts and Sent Forms sections in the Android App based on Play Store crashes reported for the 7.4.4 App version.

Implemented the Time Picker for Date/Time Regions and display the appropriate result for Calculation Regions using the Time Span format in the Android App.

Updated the Payment Processor UI to support the Propelr Integration in the Android App.

Implement the Get a Page Object by Page Name in Scripting in the Android App (SB-3636)

Added a new FormgetPageByPageName(string) call to the Scripting Engine that returns a Page object for use in the Android App.

Investigate and Fix the Algerian Font Not Displaying Correctly in Text-based Regions in the Android App (SB-3642)

Added the Algerian Font set to allow Text-based Regions to use the Algerian Font in the Android App.

Prevent Sent Forms from Being Deleted if Still in the Uploading Status in the Android App (SB-3650)

Updated the Sent Forms section to no longer allow Users to delete Sent Forms in the Uploading Status to prevent loss of data in the Android App.

Bug Fixes

Investigate and Fix the Add a New Value Drop-Down UI for Datasource Regions with Empty Drop-Down Lists in the Android App (SB-3627)

Fixed an issue with the Add New Value UI being hard to tap on when a Datasource Region's drop-down list is empty in the Android App.

Investigate and Fix the File Size Calculation to Not Include the Page Layout File in the Android 7.4.3 App (SB-3635)

Fixed an issue with the Draft File Size calculation accidentally including the Page Layout files when it should have only been using Form Data and Media (i.e. Photos, Videos, etc.) to display warnings in the Android App.
