How to Use Document Scan Regions

How to Use Document Scan Regions

Overview

(available in Mobile Forms 7.0 and higher)

A Document Scan Region can be used to easily add and crop pictures of paper documents. It is similar to a Camera Region but has additional image editing options. The Document Scan Region varies between Android and iOS devices so steps for each platform are available in this article.
Note: You may be asked to allow Mobile Forms to access your camera the first time you scan a document.

Scanning a Document (Android)

1. Tap on the Document Scan Region to open your device's camera.

2. Take a photo of your document.

3. Tap on OK. You can also tap Retry if you are not happy with your image.

4. Edit your document scan as needed. Hold and drag the corners and edges to the area that you wish to crop.

A. Click on this icon to make your image black and white.
B. Click on this icon to revert your edits.
C. Click on this icon to rotate your image 90 degrees at a time.
5. Tap the Crop button to save your image in the Form. You can also tap Back to return to the Form without saving your image.
