DIM 7.4 Beta Release Notes

Overview

Our release notes offer brief descriptions of the bug fixes included in the 7.4.x Beta release of our Data Integration Module. The version number shown is now shown in the DIM Admin Utility's Configuration tab or by going to Settings > Apps > select the F2B Data Integration Module App. The current Beta version is 7.0.10.

Product Enhancements

Add New PDF Rendering Transformation Type and Updated PDF Rendering Engine to the DIM (SB-1109)

Added a new PDF Transformation Type to the DIM Project Designer Utility that uses a new PDF Rendering Engine and can be used instead of the PDF Plugin to generate PDFs in the DIM. All settings available in the PDF Plugin are available in this new PDF Transformation Type.

Update the Data Integration Module to Use the New Sent Forms REST API Endpoint (SB-3369)

Updated the DIM to use the new Sent Forms REST API Endpoints to get the current queue of pending Sent Forms and to download the actual Digital Envelope from the server.

Create New Windows-Based Application Installers using the WiX Toolset (SB-3426)

Created new Application Installers using the WiX Toolset for Forms Designer, the DIM, the DUU, and the EDM. One major change to the installation wizard is that there is now an Options button on the initial screen that allows you to configure the Installation Folder Location. 

Update the DIM to No Longer Use the Service URI Configuration in Individual DIM Projects (SB-3464)

Updated the DIM Sync Engine to no longer use the Service URI that can be configured in the DIM Project to determine which web service endpoint to use for processing Sent Forms in the DIM.

Update the DIM to Use Browser Authentication to Support Single Sign-On (SSO) Activation (SB-3468)

Updated the DIM to now use the browser to facilitate Integration Suite App activation using either the Standard Login or the Single Sign-On (SSO) instead of activating within the DIM Admin Utility.

Update the DIM Project Manager to Support Options Currently Only Available when Manually Editing DIM Projects (SB-3522)

Updated the DIM Project Manager to retain custom tags that were previously only available manually text editing of the DIM Project (i.e. minRfiTimestamp, PDF Plugin settings, using <now />, allowing conditions at the top level of a Transformation, etc.) when saving DIM Projects. Additionally, there is a new a Variables option (formerly only available as manually created let tags) available in the Transformations window in the DIM Project Manager.

Update the DIM Project Manager and Service to Support Attachments in Sent Forms (SB-3762)

Updated the DIM Service to append the Attachments in the Sent Forms PDFs generated by PDF Transformation Types and added a new Append Attachments Setting when included with a Sent Form option for PDF Transformation Types in the DIM Project Manager. 

Update the Drag and Drop Graphics in the DIM Project Manager (SB-3767)

Updated the drag and drop graphics in the DIM Project Manager to use more modern and industry standard colors and styling.

Replace SOAP Web Service Calls with REST API Calls in the Data Integration Module (SB-3772)

Replaced all SOAP Web Service calls not related to the new Sent Form Endpoints used by the DIM Service with REST API Calls. Additionally, optional settings like MinRFITimestamp are now evaluated locally instead of delivered to the server for evaluation.
