Unable to Cast COM Object Error when Importing a Word Background

If you receive the following error message when attempting to import a Word document as a form background, this means that Forms Designer is trying to access an older version of Microsoft Word.


Repairing Office 365 (Windows 11)

1. Open the Start menu > Control Panel > Programs.

2. Click on Programs and Features.

3. Select Office 365 and click on the Repair button.


4. Attempt to import the Word document as a form background again. 

If the problem persists, you can try to uninstall, reboot then reinstall Microsoft Office.
