Overview

This document details the 7.2 release of our Mobile Forms application for Android Devices. The version number shown in the app is 7.2 in the Portal and 7.2.4.0 in the App's Settings > About Mobile Forms Section.

Product Enhancements

• Update the Status Text when Sending Forms in the Sent Forms Section of the iOS App [SB-3116]
  Changed the status text to "Sent" when a Form gets uploaded and sent to the server in the iOS App.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate Ink Not Rendering Properly for Pen Regions in the Sent Form PDF from the iOS App [SB-3034]
  Investigation complete. Unable to reproduce the issues and no further instances were provided so any further troubleshooting had to be abandoned.
  
  
• Investigate Reports of Replace Device Prompt Not Appearing for Users Activating on Fresh Install of the iOS App[SB-3097]
  Investigation Complete. Unable to reproduce the issues using the same settings and License counts on other test Companies. No further action at this time.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix the Form Draft Being Not Centered when Loaded when Kiosk Mode is Enabled and in Portrait Mode in the iOS 7 App [SB-3160]
  Fixed an issue with aligning the Form Viewer when opening Blank Drafts while in Portrait Mode and Kiosk Mode is enabled in the iOS 7 App.
   
• Investigate and Fix the View.openURL Script Call Not Using the Web View Parameter in the iOS 7.2.1 App [SB-3163]
  Fixed an issue with the View.openURL not correctly using the Web View Parameter when being called in script in the iOS 7.2.1 App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with Kiosk Mode Inactivity Timeouts and Warnings Occurring when Disabled in the iOS 7 App [SB-3166]
  Fixed an issue with the Kiosk Mode timers (Inactivity Warning, Inactivity Timeout, and Sent Confirmation) still triggering even if the setting was disabled in the Kiosk Mode Profile in the iOS 7 App.
  
  
• Investigate the Claim Workflow Script Call Not Working in the iOS 7.2.1 App [SB-3169]
  Investigation complete. Unable to reproduce the identified issues with Claiming Workflows starting in the iOS 7.2.2 App.
  
  
• Remove the Delete and Send Options from the Form Viewer Menu after Going to Other Screens when Kiosk Mode is Enabled in the iOS 7 App [SB-3173]
  Fixed an issue with the Menu button and header being shown while Kiosk Mode is enabled after going to other screens (i.e. Full Screen Capture Pen Region window) when filling out Forms in the iOS 7 App.
  
  
• Add the Most Recently Used Sort Option to the Blank Forms Section of the New UI in the iOS 7 App [SB-3174]
  Added the Most Recently Used option to the Sort drop-down list in the Blank Forms section of the iOS App.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate and Fix Issues with the Cancel Button Font Color when Choosing Images in Camera Regions while in Light Mode on iPhones in the iOS 7 App [SB-3159]
  Fixed an issue with the Cancel button on the Choose Image pop-up window turning white after toggling between Albums and Photos in the iOS 7 App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Sorting Not Working in the Main Menu Sections on iPhones in the iOS 7.2.2 App [SB-3164]
  Fixed issues with the Sort options in all of the Main Menu sections not working for iPhones in the iOS 7.2.2 App.
  
  
• Investigate Why the User Is Being Returned to Blank Forms instead of My Work during Sync’ing in the iOS 7.2.2 App [SB-3168]
  Investigation Complete. During the troubleshooting and resolution of SB-3164, the issue described here regarding the auto-closing of Drafts and returning the User to Blank Forms was also resolved.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate and Fix Open Drafts Being Saved and User is Returned to the Main Menu during Sync'ing in the iOS 7.2.1 App [SB-3158]
  Fixed issues with the User automatically saving open Form Drafts and taking the User back to the Blank Forms section when a sync occurs (including when the User returns to the App after the Device has gone in sleep mode) in the iOS 7.2.1 App.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate Why the Form Viewer Menu Is Not Always Displayed on iPhones in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3104]
  Fixed an issue with the Form Viewer menu disappearing when a sync occurs in the background when opening a Form Draft in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix the Loading Indicator Appearing while the Save Draft Prompt is Shown and a Sync Occurs in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3145]
  Fixed an issue with the App locking up on the Loading indicator if the Save Draft prompt is left open when a background sync occurs in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with Kiosk Mode Profile Not Working Correctly in the iOS 7 App [SB-3148]
  Fixed issues with the Inactivity Timeout being triggered when no data has been entered or when actively filling out the Form, fixed issues with updated Form Templates or Kiosk Mode Profiles not being used, and being able to disable Kiosk Mode after its been enabled in the iOS 7 App.

• Change the Time Only Picker for Date/Time Regions to Use a New UI when Filling Out Forms in the iOS App [SB-3126]
  Changed the Time Picker to be a spinner when the Date/Time Region is set to a time only format in the iOS App.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate and Fix Issues with Loading Work Order Values in the iOS 7.0.10 App [SB-3130]
  Fixed an issue with values from Work Orders not populating correctly when starting the Draft in the iOS App.

  Fixed an issue that was preventing the User from logging back into the iOS App after manually logging out.

• Investigate and Fix Datasource Region Lists Being Auto-Populated with the First Drop-Down Value in the iOS 7.1.9 App [SB-3100]
  Fixed an issue with the first value from the drop-down list of Datasource Regions being automatically populated when starting a Form Draft in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with the Date and Time Picker for Date/Time Regions in the iOS 7.1.9 App [SB-3101]
  Fixed issues with the new Date and Time Pickers using the Calendar widget for Date/Time Regions in the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Crashing when Deleting Form Drafts in the iOS 7.1.9 App [SB-3102]
  Fixed issues with using the long press Delete option when deleting some Form Drafts in the Drafts section in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Crashing when Opening Certain Form Drafts in the iOS 7.1.9 App [SB-3103]
  Fixed an issue with opening certain Form Templates as Blank Drafts causing crashes in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Crashing when Sending or Saving Quick Copied Drafts from Downloaded Sent Forms in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3108]
  Fixed an issue with sending or saving Forms in the iOS App that were created using Quick Copy from the Sent Form Viewer screen and the originals were downloaded Sent Forms replicated to the Device.
  
  
• Implement the Missing Set Work Order Sort Order Configuration Options in the iOS 7 App [SB-3122]
  Updated the Sort Options in the My Work section to now match the configurations available for both iPhones and iPads and fixed sorting not working correctly for iPhones in the new UI of the iOS App.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate Photos in Saved Drafts Disappearing when Resuming Drafts in the iOS 7 App [SB-2979]
  Investigation complete. Unable to reproduce this issue in the iOS 7.1.9 build and no further action will be taken because the changes made to prevent memory leaks, fixes related to Quick Copy issues, and added support for iPadOS 16 should resolve the identified issue.
  
  
• Investigate Datasource Regions Appearing Misaligned when Starting Blank Form Drafts in the iOS 7 App [SB-3026]
  Investigation Complete. Issues with the Datasource drop-down lists being misaligned have been resolved through changes made in other cases and are no longer occurring based on testing in the iOS 7.1.9 build.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Quick Copy Issues for Camera and Checkbox Regions in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3082]
  Fixed issues with Quick Copy not properly carrying over Images and Inking in Camera Regions and incorrectly checking Checkbox Regions in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix the Set Work Order Sort Order Configuration Not Working Correctly in the iOS 7 App [SB-3087]
  Fixed issues with the Set Work Order Sort Order Config not working correctly on iPads for all types except options related to Address in the new UI of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with Using Mirror Text Regions in Calculation Region Formulas in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3088]
  Investigate and Fix Issues with Using Mirror Text Regions in Calculation Region Formulas in the Swift Version of the iOS App
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with the Printer Options No Longer Working when Printing Sent Forms in the iOS App on iPadOS 16 Devices  [SB-3089]
  Fixed an issue with the Print functionality not working in the iOS App after the iPadOS 16 was released.

• Change the Date Picker to Use a Calendar Widget for Date/Time Regions in the iOS App [SB-3073]
  Changed the date and time picker used by Date/Time Regions when filling out Forms to use a graphical UI in the iOS App.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate and Fix the Enable Done Button Config Not Working Correctly in the iOS App [SB-3046]
  Fixed an issue with the Enable Done Button Config not updating the keyboard with the Done button when filling out Forms in the iOS App.

  Fixed an issue with the Enable Pen Options After Inking Config not working after enabling ink on a Pen Region that is initially disabled in the iOS App. 
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Initial Region Values Not Triggering a ValueChanged Event in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3067]
  Fixed an issue with Initial Values set in the Form Template design for Regions not triggering a ValueChanged Script Event when a Form Draft is started in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Calculation Regions Using Other Calculation Regions in the Formula Not Working in the iOS 7.1.7 App [SB-3079]
  Fixed an issue with the Calculation Regions that use Calculation Regions in their Formula not working in the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Memory Issues Related to Loading and Leaving Form Drafts in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3109]
  Fixed issues with Region UI elements not being properly disposed of in memory when sending or leaving a Form Draft in the Swift version of the iOS App. Additionally, a Loading indicator was added when leaving or sending a Form Draft in the iOS App to prevent UI issues while memory cleanup was being performed.

Product Enhancements

• Update the Minimum iOS to Version 13.6 for the iOS App Builds  [SB-3095]
  Updated the minimum version the iOS App can support to be iOS version 13.6.

Bug Fixes

• Investigate and Fix Issues with the Starting New Draft Progress Indicator is Not Being Shown when Opening Blank Forms in the iOS App [SB-3065]
  Fixed an issue with the Starting New Draft loading indicator not displaying when loading Form Templates with large sized Backgrounds or with lots of Regions used in the Form design in the iOS App. 
  
  
• Investigate and Fix the the iOS App Crashing when Entering Text and Navigating Out of the Draft in the iOS 7.1.6 App [SB-3069]
  Fixed an issue with backing out of a Draft while the User was still focused on a Region when filling out a Form in the iOS App.

  Fixed issues with using the Synchronize option when filling out Forms in the Swift version of the iOS App.

  Fixed an issue with GPS, Label, and Mirror Text Region Types not displaying the Region Instructions defined in the Form Template when filling out Forms in the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Pen Region Options Displaying Partially Off Screen in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-3025]
  Fixed an issue with the Pen Options appearing outside of the Form view when long pressing on Pen Regions in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Display Issues with Using Large Border Radius in Buttons in the iOS 7 App [SB-3027]
  Fixed display issues when large values are being used for the Border Radius on Buttons when filling out Forms in the iOS App. An effective max value of 25 for the Button Border Radius has been set to prevent future issues.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with Using the Close Draft Script after Claiming a Form in Workflow in the iOS App [SB-3028]
  Fixed an issue with using the Close Draft script call not exiting the Form Draft after claiming a Form in Workflow in the iOS App.
  
  
• Add a a Save Draft Prompt when Exiting Workflow Work Order Drafts for the First Time in the iOS App [SB-3030]
  Add a prompt on whether to save Workflow Work Orders as a Draft when leaving the Form view and changes have been made in the iOS App.

Product Enhancements

• Implement the Workflow Claimed Property in the Search Sent Forms Result in the iOS App [SB-2940]
  Implementation already complete. The iOS App did not require any additional implementation once the Search Sent Forms REST API call was updated to properly return the WorkflowClaimed property in SB-2999.
  

Bug Fixes

• Investigate and Fix Issues in the Saved Drafts Section when No Drafts Are Present in the iOS 7 App  [SB-2977]
  Fixed issues with deleting Saved Drafts that resulted in some Drafts still appearing after being deleted, the Delete All Drafts option still showing, and the badge count not updating properly in the new UI of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Work Orders Not Appearing in the My Work Section after an Associated Saved Draft Was Deleted in the iOS 7 App [SB-2978]
  Fixed an issue with Drafts that are based on Work Orders being deleted but not being displayed again on the view in the My Work section in the new UI of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix GPS Region Custom Display Formats in the iOS App [SB-2986]
  Fixed an issue with the Custom Display Formats for GPS Regions (using 0 or # after the lat or lon identifier in the Form design) not being rendered correctly in the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Form Not Rendering Correctly after Using Camera Regions on iPads in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-2989]
  Fixed an issue with the rendering the Form view when returning from taking Photos using the local camera on iPads in the Swift version of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Text Regions with the Digit Data Type Not Enforcing the Character Limit In the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-2991]
  Fixed an issue with Text Regions with the Digit Date Type property set not enforcing the maximum character limit in the Swift version of the iOS App.

  Added a Search bar to the Optional Recipients screen to filter Recipients when sending Forms in the iOS App.

  Fixed an issue in the iOS App with the Saved Drafts section's label being called "Find" in the Main Menu and fixed an issue in the iOS App with the badges not being displayed correctly in the Main Menu after upgrading to the iOS 16 OS on iPhones 

Bug Fixes

• Investigate Voice Dictation Enabling Notification Bug in the Swift Version of the iOS App [SB-2753]
  Investigation complete. Unable to reproduce after the 7.1.2.0 build was released. The microphone icon correctly disappears from the keyboard on both iPhones and iPads when Voice Dictation is disabled in the iOS Settings. No further action is required.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix Issues with the Date/Time Picker and Folder Selection Window Font Colors in the New UI of the iOS App [SB-2965]
  Fixed an issue with the Folder selector buttons in the Main Menu to be more visible and an issue with the Data/Time Picker buttons when filling out Forms in the New UI of the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate Locked GPS Regions with the Initial Coordinates Incorrectly Being Populated when the Form Draft is Started in the iOS App [SB-2972]
  Fixed an issue with Locked GPS Regions still populating when set to take coordinates when the Form Draft is initially opened in the iOS App.
  
  
• Investigate and Fix All Checkbox Regions of Sent Form From Being Quick Copied even when Not Selected in the iOS 7 App [SB-2975]
  Fixed an issue with all Checkbox Regions being checked regardless of whether they were checked in the Sent Forms when using Quick Copy in the iOS App.
