Form has Reached the Maximum Allowed Size and Cannot be Sent
If you encounter the following data limit reached message, it means that your Form is too large to send. The most common reason is that there are too many photos or the photo sizes are too large. If you have encountered this error and do not believe it is due to photos, please contact
support@field2base.com for assistance.
Each company has a limit on the size of the Form that can be submitted. The default limit is 15MB but this can vary by company.
In the event that you encounter this error, we recommend reducing your Form's file size by trying one or more of the following options:
If your User currently has a Form Draft that they cannot send due to Form size limit, they can try deleting some of their existing photos and then send the Form.
To prevent your Users from trying to send Forms with too many photos in the future, the Form Template can be edited using Forms Designer to reduce the number of possible photos that can be included in a Form. You should contact whoever has created the Form to request that it be updated to reduce the number of photos available.
Option 2: Adjust the Image Size for the Camera on your Device
Most types of devices will allow you to adjust the image quality and size for your camera. Refer to the User Manual for your device or search online for instructions on how to reduce the image size for your specific type of device.
Option 3: Adjust your Company's Image Configurations in the Portal
Note: Access to Company Configurations is limited to the Mobile Forms Administrator(s) for your company.
1. Navigate to Admin > Company
Profile > Configurations.
2. Adjust one or both image settings:
- Adjust the Camera Image Quality Compression - “Set Camera Image Quality Compression”
- Start by adjusting the value to 30 (default
is 50) and send some test forms with the new setting. If making this
change still does not allow you to add enough photos to your Form(s), try adjusting the value down by 5 at a time.
- Adjust Image Maximum Resolution - “Set Image Maximum Resolution”
- Start by adjusting the value to 3 (default is 4) and send some test forms with the new setting. If making this change still does not allow you to add enough photos to your Form(s), try adjusting the value down to 2 and then to 1.
3. Click on Save to apply your new settings.
It is possible to increase the Form file size limit for your company. P
lease contact your Account Manager at sales@field2base.com for information on options and additional cost.
