Enterprise Dispatch Module (EDM) Filenames and Folder Structure
Overview
The Field2Base Enterprise Dispatch Module interacts with your local Computer system and this was created to highlight the actual executables that may cause security alerts as well as outline the folder structure of the application.
Application Filenames
In case your PC has any security restrictions in place regarding Executables, here is a list of the Filenames of the Field2Base Enterprise Dispatch Module Executables that should be granted access. All of these files are located in the C:\Program Files\F2B Enterprise Dispatch Module folder.
- Enterprise Dispatch Module Service: F2BDispatcherService.exe
- Project Manager Utility: F2BDispatchDesigner.exe
- Administrator Utility: F2BDispatchAdmin.exe
Folder Structure
- C:\Program Files\F2B Enterprise Dispatch Module - This is the base directory of the application where all of the “guts” of the application are. This is also where the tracking database for the Enterprise Dispatch Module resides.
- Archive - The Archive folder contains the processed Dispatches after they have been processed.
- Backup - The Backup folder contains the auto-saved copies of the Project files. This is the folder where a previous version of a Project can be retrieved.
- Forms - The Forms folder is where the Field2Base Forms are located for use with the Project Manager.
- Logs - The Logs folder contains a text copy of all Logs created by the Enterprise Dispatch Manager Service.
- Projects - The Projects (formerly named Jobs ) folder is where the Projects Files created in the Project Manager are located. These files are saved in a XML format.
- SavedData - The SavedData directory is essentially a generic working area for various Enterprise Dispatch Components. It is typically used to format and prepare data for upload to the server.
Note: If you install the Enterprise Dispatch Module application anywhere other than the default folder location on your PC, then you will need to change this path during the installation process. The application should automatically update all references to the folder you chose at that point.
