Custom Configurations

Overview

This guide is designed to help you customize your Field2Base environment. If you change any configuration, make sure you sync the Mobile Forms™ App on your Device to the Field2Base server so you see the latest change.
Note: The Mobile Forms Administrator Role is needed to access the Company Profile page in the Portal.


Modifying Custom Configurations

1. Navigate to Admin > Company Profile > Configurations

2. Configurations can be customized company-wide or for a specific User only. If you wish to customize configurations for a single User only, change the Scope to User and select the User you wish to apply your configuration(s) for.


3. Change any configurations as needed. 

4. Click the Save button to save your updated configurations.


Server Configurations Available

Set On Behalf Of

Details: Allows you to turn the On Behalf Of setting on (yes)  or off (no) for all e-mails sent by this Company. 
Allows for customization of the E-mail header for a Company to include or exclude the sender's name and E-mail address as part of the header.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes


Enable the Billing Reference Column

Details: Allows you to set whether the Licenses and Devices pages in the Portal display the Billing Reference column. 
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No


Enable Spoofing of E-Mails

Details: Allows you to set whether Forms and RFIs are sent using spoofing from the Field2Base Servers.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No for Companies created after 2/1/2017


App Configurations Available

Enable Logout Button

Details: Allows you to turn the Logout Button on (yes) or off (no).
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No


Enable Prompt Before Send

Details:  Allows you to turns the Prompt before Sending on (yes) or off (no) when there are No Optional Recipients.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes

Note: This configuration will only be applied to Forms which have been designed to have No Optional Recipients.

To prevent a Form from being sent to optional recipients:
  1. Open the Form in Forms Designer.
  2. Click on Recipients under the Form tab,
  3. Select "Never" as the option for "When can tablet users choose optional recipients?"


Set Work Order Sort Order 

Details: Allows you to change the default Sort Order for Work Orders in My Work.
Value: Drop Down; Work Order Name (A-Z, Z-A), Priority (Lower, Higher), Timestamp (Newest, Oldest)
Default:  Timestamp (Newest)
Note: The User can always change the Sort Order locally on his/her Device by selecting Sort on the Mobile Forms Main Menu. The selection in the Sort by box indicates the current Sort Order selection.


Set Sent Item Initial Download History

Details: Allows you to change how far back the Sent Items are downloaded when the User first logs in (in Days).
Value: Numeric Entry
Default: 90 Days

Set Sent Item Purging Interval

Details: Allows you to set how often the Sent Items are purged (in Days).
Value: Numeric Entry
Default: 90 Days
Note: This value should never be higher than the Initial Download History.

Enable Save Draft Prompt

Details: Allows you to determine if the Prompt to Save a Draft appears when returning to the previous section.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes


Enable the Done Button 

Details: Allows you to set whether Done or Return is available on the keyboard. If "Yes" is selected, the Return key on the keyboard is changed to Done and all Text Regions in the Form will store text in a single line. If you want to be able to use the Return key to add multiple text lines, then this configuration value should be changed to "No". 
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes

Enable Print Button

Details:  Allows you to turn the Print button in Sent Forms on or off .
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No

Set the Logout Inactivity Timer

Details: Allows you to enable and set the automatic Logout Timer after a set amount of time that the User is inactive (in Minutes).
Value: Numeric Entry
Default: 0
Note: A value of 0 means there is no timer set and the User will not be logged out automatically.

Enable Pen Options After Inking

Details:  Allows you  to enable the Pen Options being displayed after selecting "Enable Inking" for a Pen Region.
When "Yes" is selected, the Pen Options will appear on the screen when you long press on a Pen Region and select Enable Inking.
When "No" is selected, it means that the Pen Options will not appear and the User will not be able to edit color, width, etc for inking.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No
Note: This configuration will only be applied to Pen Regions which have been disabled in Forms Designer. 


Set Camera Image Quality Compression

Details: Allows you to change the Image Quality / Compression percentage of Photos captured in Camera Regions.
Value: Numeric Entry (% value between 1-100)
Default: 50
Note: If images are too large, try going to 30 then down by 5 until desired size is reached.

Set Image Maximum Resolution

Details: Allows you to set a Maximum Image Resolution for Photos captured in Camera Regions  (in Megapixels).
Value: Numeric Entry
Default: 4 Megapixels
Note: If images are too large, start at 2 Megapixels, and go down to 1 Megapixel if the file size is still too large.

Set Pen Region Full Screen Capture Type

Details:  Allows you to turn the Full Screen Capture Option for Pen Regions on or off.
"Yes" expands the Pen Region Capture to fill the entire screen and the inking will be changed to fit the Region size. "No" sizes the Pen Region Capture according to the shape of the Region on the Form.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No

Enable Re-Uploading of Sent Forms

Details: Allows you to set whether the User can Re-Upload a Sent Form if the server cannot process the original Form.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: No
Note: This is available in  Android / iOS App 6.9+

Set Default Camera for Photo Capture

Details: Allows you to set the Default Camera used by Camera Regions.
Value: Drop Down (Front / Back)
Default: Back

Lock the Camera for Bar Code Scanning

Details: Allows you to set and lock the Camera used to by Barcode Regions to scan Bar Codes.
Value: Drop Down (Front / Back)
Default: Back

Enable Blank Forms Section

Details: Allows you to set whether the Blank Forms section is visible.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes
Note: This is available in Web App,  Android / iOS App 7.0+


Enable Saved Drafts Section 

Details: Allows you to set whether the Drafts section is visible. If set to "No", Users will not have the ability to save Form Drafts. 
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes
Note: This is available in Web App,  Android / iOS App 7.0+


Enable My Work Section

Details: Allows you to set whether the My Work section is visible.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes
Note: This is available in Web App,  Android / iOS App 7.0+


Enable Sent Forms Section

Details: Allows you to set whether Sent Forms section is visible.
Value: Drop Down (Yes / No)
Default: Yes
Note: This is available in Web App,  Android / iOS App 7.0+


Enable Camera Region Long Press Menu Single Tap

Details: Allows you to set the single tap behavior for Camera Regions. "Yes" brings up the Menu options (Take a photo, Choose image, Create Drawing and Clear Image) with a Single Tap instead of opening the device camera. "No" opens the camera on a single tap and a long press is needed to bring up the Menu options.

Default: No
